I rate all the food items & then give a final overall rating which is a simple average of the individual item ratings. What the ratings stand for: 5 = Excellent, 4 = Very Good, 3 = Good, 2 = Fair, 1 = Disaster.

Short description – in case u r in a hurry:

Heard about this from fellow foodies and landed here on a holy holi holiday:). The ambience of the place was like any other coffee shop but what made it stand apart was a water body on one side and a jetty kind of protrusion in which one can sit and have breakfast.

The spread was largely usual 5 star breakfast but it had two differences – one, Almost all the usual items were made with great attention to detail in terms of choice of ingredients and final execution and two, there were few special dishes that we cud choose from (those r listed in a menu and r made on order & served on the table).

Service was very good. People took lot of care.

Food was surely on top of everyone’s mind. I found almost no silly fillers (that people end up doing, to increase the offering in a buffet).

Detailed description – in case u have the time to njoy reading:

There was Indian and Continental food on the buffet as well as menu. We chose continental for two reasons. One, coz not too many people here do a good job with Continental food. Second, except curries & dals, I enjoy Indian food freshly made and served, not stacked up in a buffet.

I started with my favorite breakfast item – Bircher muesli. Tasty & healthy at the same time. The bircher was a bit fermented & I really loved it. It was sticky as usual but not everyone here gets in that fermented feel. It had nuts & raisin garnish. Rate it 4.5/5

Moved on to salami. This is where I mentioned about – usual item but great choice of salami. Really liked both the kinds that I had. Intense, tasty and flavorful. Not flat like most salamis sold here nowadays. Rate it 4.5/5

Congee is something that I usually do not miss in a buffet – a habit that I developed during my frequent visits to China. The ingredients that is added to a congee r usually not the best in many buffets in India. Sometimes they r withered, sad. Here the add ons were paid good attention. The basic congee was very good as well – not very watery, not like a paste – perfect texture. Loved it & rate it 4.5/5

Poached egg – perfectly poached. Looked curious too. Perfect texture & of course tasted good coz it was not usual stupid poultry egg but naturally bred chicken egg with a orangish yellow yolk that is many times tastier than the flat poultry variety. Rate it 4.5/5

Inhouse baked Danish was good. Creamy inner layer & soft bread on the cover with sugar dust atop. Rate it 3/5.

Freshly baked Croissants- piece of heaven which will possibly lead to guilt hell. Layers & layers of sinful delight – crispy on the top & super soft inside. Flavor of good butter & presence of optimal salt made the croissant outstanding. Rate it 4.5/5

The croissant was served with 4 inhouse made jams. Not a big fan of jams but these were nice with chunky pieces of fruits. Most of these were unusual & really good. Rate them collectively 4.25/5

Spanish omelette was very ordinary. Pintxo any day does a way superior Spanish Omlette. The omelette was hard, dry & did not taste good at all. Maybe because it was kept made & not served fresh. Rate it 2/5.

Japanese soup- extremely refreshing but different from miso soup served at most Japanese restuarants. Loved the texture of the same. Rate it 4.5/5

From the menu section we ordered French Toast. It was nothing like anything we had so far in delhi ncr. Mildly sweet toast with a layer of subtly flavored cheddar cheese. Piece of heaven. Super soft & awesome to taste.

The other dish we ordered from the menu was Scrambled egg. It was soft but not runny, not juicy, not creamy. It was different from the usual Scrambled egg. Had good flavor of cheese in it. Rate it 4/5

This was accompanied with Bacon – It was done to perfection, crisp but not at all chewy. Was almost like biting a thin biscuit. Superb to taste. Rate it 4.25/5

The best part of this dish was the sausage. Sausage is one thing where most eateries in India (including 5 star Hotels) serve very basic meat paste that looks like a sausage. I call those faux-sausage.The sausage at 361 degrees was thick, had an intense taste & flavor, was juicy inside & has lumpy meat inside. Loved it very much again. Rate it 4.5/5
