The father worked in tea estates of coorg for 3 decades & then opened this restaurant in Bangalore. He collected some of the best chefs from the plantations & that is the secret of authenticity.

Food was laid out in a buffet – one pays for veg / non veg buffet. All dishes we had did not have tomatoes. Our tastebuds were in ecstasy……………

Detailed description- in case u hv the time to njoy reading:

String hopper – this was like idiappam of Kerala, white rice based vermicelli ( rice flour pressed into noodle form and steamed) served in a bowl shape. It was soft and smooth and had flavours of coconut. Rate it 4.5/5

Chicken Coorg curry was a chicken curry with Coorg style masala, cooked in coconut milk. The gravy was outstanding to taste and in flavours. Rate the gravy 4.5/5

The chicken pieces were of poultry chicken. These were not soft , not fibrous either. It being poultry chicken did not have any taste and I think the pieces we got were over refrigerated and did not feel fresh. Rate the chicken pieces 2/5.

Overall rating of the dish averages out to 3.25/5

Pork pandi curry was a marvel. It had small boneless pieces of pork with the layer of fat. The meat was outstanding in terms of both taste and flavor and if was super soft and melt in the mouth. The curry gravy was dry and was dark brown in Color tending to black. It had kachampali (vinegar made from slightly fermented juice of gummi-gutta  fruit) as an ingredient that is used in Coorg food. The gravy was just too good – so much that we finished it till the last drop. One of the best pork dishes we have had in a while. Rate it 4.75/5.

Oyster mushroom curry was the least impressive among all. It had the feel of just any usual Delhi mid level restaurant serving a North Indian curry , with no particular direction. The mushrooms were nice to taste but cud hv been way better. Rate it 2.5/5
