Short description- in case u r in a hurry:

We heard about this place from a Friend who mentioned that she drives to this place once in a while from mumbai to eat out. Impressive. Google ji gave us some additional info – this place is in a adventure sport park Della and is owned by a Parsi who has curated the menu. That gave us more reason to try the food.

As we reached the place we realized that there was a strange rule – pay Rs. 750 non refundable at the entry per person and pay using the rs. 750 coupons. If bill exceeds this amount, u pay the balance by cash / card. However Della Wud not refund if u hv a balance. They give u choice to buy anything else from any of the other shops ( even if u to not need that at all). Quite a customer unfriendly (actually customer cheating philosophy).

Zomato does not mention this nonsense system – so we ended up going here unprepared.
The restaurant is one among a few in a row. It has ‘covered’ open seating and also inside dining hall
The dining hall was nicely made. The furniture was comfortable and visually appealing.
There was a wall gallery that had pics of all celebrities who had come to Della.

Menu card was a one pager with good description of food

The men’s loo is a must visit (even if u don’t feel like peeing). I kept laughing for a while after I saw what I saw …..

Service was OK. The guy serving us was nice. He offered us free replacement food when we pointed out that chef had forgotten to add salt to 2 dishes in the same afternoon.

Food – loved the curries that we had. Got two disasters on the plate. My sense – dishes have been curated and planned well, left to execute at hands of junior / semi skilled people , not supervised properly, faulty QC, thus leading to inconsistency, including bad results.
Detailed description- in case u hv the time to njoy reading:

We had 2 chuskis by the name Cinderella – enjoyable, very good and nothing unique about them. RAte it 3.5/5

Jardalu boti was an very good meat curry with a slight sweet tinge. There was a fruit in the curry that had a seed in the middle. The meat pieces were super soft and very enjoyable. They served Salli (matchstick size potato fry) with the curry and that of course gave a very interesting texture. Rate the dish 4/5

Next dish we had was Masoor ka ‘ghosh’ !!!! Gosh that is how they spelled Gosht. This was a phenomenal dish – the best we had that afternoon. Meat and daal cooked together. The daal retained its shape but was soft enough to be enjoyed. Flavours of daal and meat , both made their presence felt.

The meat pieces were very soft and YUMM. Super loved this dish and rate it 4.5/5

Patra ni macchi was disaster. It had negligible salt, was sweetish. The fish was dry and just too bad texture. I would call it a murder of pomfret. In terms of taste and flavour it was just too bad. Rate it 1/5

Kheema par edu was a double sunny side up placed on a bed of minced mutton curry. It was not made the traditional way (put raw egg on top of curry in a pan and bake it / cook till the egg is done).

Loved the minced mutton as it had chunks of meat rather than the paste like machine made kheema that many other places serve. The cut gave good texture to the meat and it tasted great. We loved the dish overall inspite of the deviation. Rate it 4.25/5

Paneer makhmali tikka was the second disaster – we just left it after one bite each. No salt. Inedible. Must say that It was served in a very nice manner. Rate it 1/5.

Overall rating of food at Parsi dhaba averages out to
Wud surely not revisit.
