Short description- in case u r in a hurry:

We read about this restaurant on the social media and decided to pay a visit.

The interiors were beautifully done. The ambience was nice. There were multiple seating areas. Lighting was dim.

There was an open bar area

The see thru kitchen was good to watch while waiting for food.

The server was very friendly and nice. He seemed new and not very well acquainted with the dishes. He did not appear to b a food enthusiast himself. So he kept asking the question which I find most irritating and brainless – do you want spicy or non spicy. My answer was standard – I want my food the way the Koreans have, in its most authentic form – spicy / non spicy does not matter.

Menu card had items written in English and Korean. Description in English was not detailed.

Food was great in general except one catastrophe of a dish.

Detailed description- in case u hv the time to njoy reading:

As we waited for the food, we were served Kimchi, Lotus stem, Korean Omelet , grilled Zucchini, crispy Aubergine – all on the house.

The kimchi was good but not the best I have ever had. It lacked the fermented feel. Crunchiness of the veggies was also suboptimal. Yet the taste was very good. Rate it 3.5/5

Lotus stem thinly sliced was one of the best lotus stem preparations we have had in months. It retained the flavour and texture of lotus stem , yet gave it a twist. Loved the taste. Rate it 4.5/5

Korean omelet was simple omelet topped with tomato sauce. It was as good as it could get. Rate it 4/5

Grilled zucchini was fun to munch on. Great on both texture and taste. Rate it 4.5/5

Crispy aubergine had a sweetish sauce on top. Super loved this with the sauce and sand the sauce. Full flavours of aubergines and a great play of textures. Rate it 4.5/5

We started with Bibimbap pork

It was a meal in itself. It had sticky rice in the base. On the sides it had steamed greens, veggies, mushrooms and minced pork. Sauce was served on the side. On top of all was a sunny side up.

Super loved the meal overall – as it is and also with the sauce. Loved the simplicity of the dish – yet full of flavours of each ingredient. YUMM to taste. Rate this dish 4.5/5

Samgyupsal salted was grilled pork slices served with lettuce leaves, green pepper and a thick sauce. This was again a super simple dish where meat slices were not messed with- simple grill of outstanding pieces of meat (with a thin fat layer) that retained the robust flavours of meat.

Our server described us how to eat this – take a leaf, apply the sauce on it (like lime on paan), place meat slices on it, roll and take a bite. Super loved this dish both with the sauce and without the sauce. Rate it 4.5/5

We were also served a baked veggie dish on the house. It was just too good. Intense, robust sauce and a medley of textures. Loved having it with the sticky rice. Rate it 4.5/5

So far everything was good and we were having a great time till we got Ssambap nakji Samgyupsal – pork belly and octopus. I kept on telling the server that we do not want anything indianized. We want good flavourful food that closest to authentic. He kept on asking spicy or non spicy (which was quite a dumb question after my briefing).

This dish was a disaster – it was a hot mindless tasteless flavorless sauce that overpowered everything that was good in the porkbelly and octopus. We fished out the octopus and porkbelly from the disaster and left the rest. Octopus pieces were a bit rubbery – nowhere as fresh as what restaurants in mumbai serve.

Surely not authentic / not properly made. Sheer waste of money and an assault on the senses. Rate it 1/5.

We gave up the idea of ordering dessert as the last dish just spoilt the mood of the afternoon inspite of a series of great dishes before

Overall rating of food at this restaurant averages out to 4/5
I would revisit some more interesting dishes but with fear of being recommended an indianized dish.
