Short description- in case u r in a hurry
We got to know of this restaurant from the social media and decided to pay a visit
The boys Were nice people but still not used to all dishes. They could hardly recommend dishes. I asked how big is the portion of mohinga. He said he will ask and come back. After 3 minutes he came back and told ‘it is a soup’!!!! Of course it is but I had asked the size
They did not have quite a few very interesting signature drinks/dishes that were on the menu – Royal Bengal mojito (white rum, pineapple, gondhoraj lemon, mint, gut syrup, tonic and ice), Signature buff pastrami etc.
Menu on zomato in page of this restaurant is the bangalore menu. Mumbai menu is different. We realized when we ordered Cochin mackerel on the toast that we had seen on zomato. Very strange mistake on part of PR / marketing team.
We started our evening with Burmese mohinga – it had fish and rice noodle soup, sea bass fish , shrimp and peanuts. Loved the ‘super subtle yet confident to make a statement’ broth. Flavours of seafood made its presence felt. Shrimps were dunked in at the perfect time to ensure they r not chewy. seabass was flaky and very enjoyable with the skin. Rate the dish 4.25/5
For starter we ordered Soft eggs and andouille sausages on sourdough toast. The sourdough toast, inspite of bearing the load of all the toppings, displayed a strong character. Loved the bread and it’s crispness as it is and of course with everything else.
Incredible dish. Rate it 4.75/5
The kokum reduction was super enjoyable with its tangy taste. He shrimps were very fresh and excellent. The pickled prawns were heaped in the center and exuded robust flavours and taste. Prawn crackers had lost the crispness though.
Duck tacos were recommended by our server. Ragi and jowar was used to make the tacos and that gave it nice texture. pickled cucumbers, radish , perilla seeds and hoisin glaze filled the taco along with some nice duck meat. Very nice I Wud say. Rate it 4.25/5
For dessert we ordered filter coffee dessert. It had a crispie, drops of filter coffee gel, coffee ice cream and coffee cream base. Unmissable for coffee lovers. Others might give it a pass (might find it too bitter and too strong coffee flavor). Loved this every bit. Rate it 4.25/5
Look forward to revisiting
