Short description- in case u r in a hurry

We had heard about this place from the co owner of curry brothers, mumbai. She spoke very highly of this place and she had mentioned this to be one of her favourite new eateries.

It was on our list from a long time. So one evening we decided to take a 28 km one way drive to eat out here.

We reached early by Indian dinner time standards. It was 7.30 pm. There was only 1 table free.

When we were leaving at 840 pm, there was 1 hr waiting!!!!

We were greeted with Amazing smell of seafood broth as soon as we entered. Great for foodies who eat and enjoy non vegetarian food and love seafood. The same Can b a big put off for

vegetarians .

The restaurant had a table outside (semi open) and 4 tables inside the dining hall. Each had 4 chairs.

Liked the interior decor.

Next to the dining area was the open kitchen.

The menu card was easy to read, with short description of the items on offer.

The boy serving us was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. He took care and made us feel at home.

The food was as close to authentic as possible. No forceful indianization was done.

Detailed description – in case u hv the time to njoy reading:

Yellow tail sashimi (for the uninitiated, just raw fish) came with the two obvious accompaniments – Japanese soy and wasabi. First bite of the sashimi with these two gave me a sense that the fish is just too good – so enjoyed the balance just as it is …. super creamy, flavourful and an unbelievable texture. Rate it 4.75/5

Eel avocado maki roll was made with cooked eel (fish), like it usually is. Loved the sauce. Loved the rice , the fish and every bit if it. Strong flavours, robust taste. Very enjoyable. Rate it 4/5

Stew Five spice duck was served in a bowl with rice. The sauce had mixed with parts if the jasmine rice and was good. The duck pieces were good bit we gave surely had better. Loved the soft and flavourful meat. Super loved the flavours of the sauce in rice. Rate it 4/5

Salmon tataki, edamame and yuzu pepper salsa was a marvel. The salmon was rare done, flaky on the outer side, super intense flavours and taste. Loved the sauce as it did not take away the fish flavours but complimented it very we’ll. chopped edamame garnish did magic to the texture. In every bite edamame made its presence felt too. Overall amazing balance. Rate it 4.75/5

steamed Sea bass in Spicy Lemongrass broth – fresh flavourful fish in a hot, flavourful, thin liquid soup that had An amazing balance of taste. The fish having being cooked in a broth (unfried/ un coated ) was obviously a bit chewy. Rate it 4.25/5

We ordered Mango sticky rice , salted coconut sauce for dessert. We has no idea of what is coming , when we ordered. The base was sweet jasmine (almost sticky) rice topped with a salted coconut sauce that was very new to us. We were amazed at the balance of sweet and salt, the surprise element of salty coconut milk, full flavours of coconut milk, mango flavours and taste peeping in, and more ….. rate it 4.5/5

Overall rating if food at the blue averages out to 4.4/5
