Description:
Post shifting to Navi Mumbai, was always wondering where to find food at par with famous Mumbai joints – Mahesh, Gajalee, Jai Hind…etc. Today I ventured out on Seafood Hunt and returned satisfied.
Konkani Rassa (Konkan Curry) serves fresh food in a very cosy ambience.
We tried the Fish Platter and it was too much for two people. Fish was fresh. Country Chicken (of course non seafood) came with the right blend of strong spices-the test lies in the fact that aroma should not be wiped out even post one round of good hand wash!
Konkan food is primarily about seafood (as it is coastal region food) and is predominantly non-vegetarian.
The restaurant has a vast choice of sea food and you should go with time in hand. Try crab, mutton bhaat (mutton rice), fish -any item …fried or curried.
Go there to be in company of taste and don’t spoil it by being in haste. Not outstanding or excellent but is good for sure.
I wrapped up the day with our very own Meetha Patti Chaman Chatni Kimam Paan at the paan stall outside the restaurant.
Will be back soon to eat here.
