Short Description – in case u r in a hurry:

I am yet to go to many Chain restaurants in India that serve real good food in addition to the average usual menu items. While Chilis is one such that comes top of my mind in terms of good food, Amici surely falls in the same category.

The seating in Select Citywalk Amici is a bit cluttered due to lack of space, it is not very bad either. It is a 3 side open café that is quite unique in terms of the set up.

The staff members r pretty efficient & they know the details of food served well.

Behind the counter there were blackboards on which the beverages were listed.

The menu card was short, precise & had proper descriptions of the food. The menu has a variety of casual food choices options like pizzas, pastas, burgers, paninis, salads, garlic breads & non alcoholic beverages.

Food in general was very good. On taking a bite into the pizza I Thought it was made on wood fire. Soon after we saw a fresh supply of wood coming in.

Detailed Description – In case u have the Time to NJOY reading:

We started our lunch with Pepe – a Pizza from Gourmet Pizza section. It had Parma ham, bocconcini, mozzarella, rocket leaves & Parmesan as topping. The pizza had a thin crust exactly the way they r served in most other European countries. Infact it had a thickness almost like tandoori roti.

The cheeses gave out their flavors & also made the pizza very juicy. Loved the combination of rocket leaves, parma ham – not very common in this part of the World. Excellent Pizza I wud say & rate it 4.25/5.

We moved on to Quattro formaggi – A 4 cheese pizza with Gorgonzola, Scamorza, Cheddar & Mozzarella made on a wood fired oven. Very nice once again – 4 different sections had different flavors, taste & textures. The Quattro formaggi at Mediterraneo Khajuraho had much more distinct flavors & we kept on remembering that while we were eating here. The distinctness of flavors & taste was less at Amici. Rate the Quattro at Amici 3.5/5.

Post the two pizzas we ordered pan seared fish in lemon butter, caper, sauce. The fish itself was pretty normal fillet of Basa but the sauce was very good. The fish tasted awesome with the sauce & specially with the capers. Loved it & rate it 4/5.

For beverage we had Amici Spremuta lemon mint soda. It was very balanced in terms of taste – proportions of sweet, salt & sour. Rate it 4/5.

For dessert we had Warm gooey mushy chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. The vanilla ice cream was nothing much to talk about but the cake was very good. A hint of salt & a hint of bitter jazzed up the cake in terms of taste. The texture was excellent as well. Rate it 4.5/5.

Rating for Amici averages out to 4/5
