Short description – in case u r in a hurry:
Its been a while that we heard about breakfast club & have eaten out quite a few times. This post is an aggregation of those experiences.

We tried home delivery & also went there to take away. A little chat with the guys there threw up another option – to sit and eat on the side, on plastic chairs kept for waiting customers. This place is not meant to be for service but the guys tried to make us sit comfortably & fed us with care – totally unexpected from a takeaway joint.

I like the packaging – A big smart card board box & inside small sealed containers having all the accompaniments along with the main dish.
Detailed description – in case u have the time to NJOY reading:
On one occasion we ordered Breakfast club langar. It had two mammoth pooris, aloo ki subzi, pickle & sooji ka halwa.

The pooris were made from atta , had a bit of rough texture that showed little chances of maida being mixed to it. Soft & nice, the pooris cud b munxhed just like that & with achaar as well. Rate the pooris 4.25/5 – as good as it cud get.

The aloo ki subzi was awesome. It was a bit hot, had spices but not ‘spicy’ or ‘on the face’, had a twist to the taste with a hint of sour. Perfect balance of seasoning. Loved it. Rate it 4.5/5

The sooji halwa was a total dissappointment inspite of having the best ingredients. We cud smell the good flavor of ghee in the halwa. The problem was in workmanship. The halwa was removed from kadhai well before it got the ‘paak’. When a halwa is cooked, the ingredients and sugar & ghee intermix with each other & that gives a sticky texture & also intensity of taste & flavor. That part went completely missing in this case.

The result was a not sweet, almost tasteless, bland, flavors of ghee still being around, non intense halwa that wud just do the job of filling u up with carbs & fat right in the morning but not give u the joy of eating in return. Rate the halwa 1/5.
Overall rating of Breakfast club langar averages out to 3.25/5

On another occasion we tried Dilli ke aloo parathe. These were outstanding. Even after they were home delivered, the parathas were warm, super soft and very good – as if they were being served fresh. The masala inside was excellent – YUMM & flavorful, hot but not so hot, not on the face. Rate it 4.5/5

Breakfast club smoothie was very good as well. Balanced, tasty , not too thin, not too thick. Rate it 4.5/5

We tried Nonveg club sandwich with potato wedges & fresh fruit platter on another occasion.

The sandwich was crisp on the outside & juicy & creamy inside. The bacon did not crackle / become brittle. Enjoyed the overall taste a lot. Rate it 4.5/5

Potato wedges were very good. It wud have surely been crisper had we tried having it just after being made. It was very good to taste & balance of seasoning was perfect. Rate it 4/5.

Of course they had no contribution in ‘cooking’ the Fresh fruit but they selected good quality fruits & presented them in a clean manner. Rate the fruitplatter 4/5

Overall rating of this dish averages out to 4.2/5
Another day we decided to go, pick up breakfast. We landed at Sushant Shopping arcade. We were pleasantly surprised t see a shop being converted into a well branded neat & clean open kitchen. We were asked if we want to wait & take it away or whether we wud want to get it delivered. We said ‘We can wait’. They suggetsed we ‘sit & eat’. So they put up 2 chairs face to face (in the empty corridor of the plaza) & a third chair in the middle which acted as the table.
We tried Mummy’s poha. It was true to its claim – like home made. Am sure some moms will make it even better but directionally this was as good as it cud get outside of home.

The poha was light, not oily, had spices but not on the face, was freshly made & served. The balance of taste was excellent in it. It had freshly roasted peanuts in it that were of good quality & hence YUMM.
Potato crispies were also enjoyable.
They gave aloo bhujia separately. Loved munching on the poha as it is , as well as with the bhujia.

Rate the poha 4.25/5
