Short description- in case u r in a hurry
I have been to China multiple times (I have lost count) & stayed there for many days in the decade before last. I have eaten at roadside shacks, government run eateries, factory workers canteens, mid range restaurants & the top notch ones. So for the last decade, eating ‘Chinese’ food in most restaurants in India seem to be a punishment to me unless I keep telling me this is Indian food wearing a Chinese mask.
Baoshuan brought back vivid memories of the food I used to have during my trips to China. What a pleasant change.

The interiors of the restaurant were plush. The theme was modern Chinese. The light was dim in general but there was enough light in the eating area on the table.

The staff members were exceptionally warm, helpful & talented. The people we interacted with, were very well versed with the nuances of the food on the menu.

The menu card was elaborate & the descriptions were detailed.
We loved most of the food.
Detailed description – in case u hv the time to njoy reading:
As we waited for the food to arrive, we were served some very nice munchies

Steamed prawn and spinach dumpling with tobiko was fabulous. Spinach gave a different mouthfeel & it slightly contributed to the flavours. The prawn flavours ruled. The dumplings were juicy, super soft & very tasty. Rate it 4.5/5

Steamed Shanghai pork dumpling with ginger infused vinegar was lovely. Flavourful juicy pork filling was just too good. Rate it 4.5/5

Prawn chung fung was just too good. Super soft outer layer made of rice was just right done. The sauce on top was fab. Rate it 4.75/5

We then went for CHEF ANDREW WONG’S PIPA DUCK EXPERIENCE
A duck themed experience, served over five courses-
soup – loved the thin, flavourful soup. The tofu was silky & very enjoyable. Goji berries were super fun to munch on. Rate it 4.5/5

dim sum was lovely. Flavours of duck meat were excellent. The juiciness from the fat below the skin of the duck did magic. Rate it 4.5/5

Duck salad had leafs, tomatoes & the other usual suspects. The duck fritters were very enjoyable. Rate it 4/5

Caviar & duck meat with skin on a bread was just brilliant. The perfectly fried crisp duck skin was shockingly good & just too addictive. The caviar on top was added love for the taste buddies. Rate it 4.95/5

Crepes with duck rolls were extraordinarily good. The lady got us sliced duck & she arranged them into rolls right in front of us. Crisp skin, soft & juicy fat layer in the middle & soft & flavourful. The tight amount of sauce & other condiments accentuated the duck. Rate it 4.75/5

Steamed Chilean sea bass with ginger and spring onions was excellent again. Flaky perfectly cooked fish, juicy due to the fat melting between the layers of fish. The flavours were intense. The soy based thin sauce was a flavour bomb. rate it 4.75/5

Lychees with chilli lime sugar turned out to be the only disappointment of the evening. The lychees were frozen & remained hard & non juicy. The beauty of the experience of having this fruit was lost in translation. The texture got compromised. Flavour got repressed. The taste was good. Rate it 2/5

Mango cheese cake crème bruelee turned the game around. Spot on. Hit the senses right in all ways. Rate it 4.75/5

Overall rating of food at Baoshuan averages out to 4.5/5
look forward to more memorable dinners here in future
