Short Description – in case u r in a hurry:

We saw a part of this restaurant while crossing from Ambience mall to Promenade. People were sitting in the open & dining, of course inside a wooden enclosure. On another day we noticed a large airconditioned Dining Room on the first floor that read ‘La Tagliatella’………….. After quite a few such experieness we decided to walk in & try the food.

We were led to the first floor – as we walked in, we walked past an open kitchen with a stone oven. The staircase was beautifully done & there were framed pictures on both sides. As we reached upstairs, we realized that the place was just too beautifully done – cud not guess this from outside. Very ornate ceilings, paintings on walls, nice design all over the wall, intricate furniture, great cutlery – visually delighting.

An expat host welcomed us & we were soon presented with a menu card that was very tastefully made, had some outstanding photography & had detailed description of the dish.

The staff members were polite, well trained & good.

The name of the restaurant is derived from Tagliatelle -it is a traditional type of pasta from Italy. Individual pieces of tagliatelle are long, flat ribbons that are similar in shape to fettuccine and are typically about 6.5 mm to 10 mm wide. Tagliatelle can be served with a variety of sauces, though the classic is a meat sauce or Bolognese sauce.

Detailed Description – In case u have the Time to NJOY reading:

We started our dinner with Insalata Affamicata – Mixed salad leaves, king prawns, prawns, salmon roll, sweet corn, minced crab. The dressing was tangy, creamy & really enjoyable – good & balanced.

The leaves tasted very good as well with the dressing – actually unprecedented good. Seafood was very very enjoyable. Special mention to the roll of salmon with crabmeat in the middle – awesome. I rate this dish at 4.5/5

Next we ordered Focacce Liguri. It was two sandwiches in the same dish – Duck ham, Parigiano cheese, provolone cheese in one & goat cheese, sweet onion, sweet tomato, pistachio, rocket leaves in the other.

The Panini base was really good , the duck was not very pronounced but very good to taste. It had a sweetish dressing. The bread was crisp baked & served at perfect warm temperature.

The other sandwich with goat cheese had the right flavor was relatively more normal to taste but good nevertheless.
I wud rate this at 4/5.

The dish we had next was Pliegata – a Calzone. Remember the strange stuff that Dominoes serves as Calzone? This one was manifold better than the Dominoes one.

It had Tomato, mozzarella, sautéed spinach, assorted cheeses, turkey ham as filling & a thin soft cover that was somewhat like very thin tandoori roti. Cheese lovers wud freak out on this. I liked it but it was a bit too cheesy for me. I wud give this a 4/5 again.

For dessert we had Boccancino – Fresh cheesecake with egg yolk & syrup custard. This sounded good but tasted just good – not great. Soft & nice. I wud rate this at 3.5/5.
