Short description – in case u r in a hurry:
This is not a typical restaurant. This is like an institution. There is no big signage but two small signs with name of eatery written on it.

It looked like a house with a garden, the hind part of which was a kitchen and eating area.

Sitting on the plastic chairs we cud see the open kitchen. It looked very neat and clean.

The washrooms were very clean as well.

The menu card was small but focussed.

Food was being prepared ( not from scratch) after ordering and hence it was taking time.

The person who served is was nice in his own way. Please do not expect hotel management graduates or white glove service. Here you will come across

Food was being served in Steel cutlery. Food was very very enjoyable

All food was like home cooked.

I wud say it is unmissable for foodies who njoy ‘the real thing’.

Detailed description – in case u hv the time to NJOY reading:
Pomfret fry – we have been spoilt by some of the best and freshest pomfrets from Sassoon dock, since we shifted to mumbai a year back. The pomfret here was not that level but very good.
The best part of pomfret fry was that it had good amount of spices but the spices were not on the face. Both flavor of fish and flavor of spices made their presence felt. The fish was juicy and very good. Rate it 4.25/5

Mutton masala was so good, as if home cooked. The meat seemed to be pressure cooked, yet it tasted quite good. The gravy was very flavourful and excellent to taste. Rate it 4.25/5

Kolambi (prawn) masala was very good. The gravy was just too good – perfect in balance of taste. Kokum added flavor. So did the other spices. Prawns were very good as well. Loved the simplicity of the dish. Rate it 4.5/5

Chicken dry was outstanding. It had a strong taste and flavours of spices. Loved the aroma of the curry. Rate it 4.5/5

We enjoyed all this with home like atta fulka rotis.
Chaas was served without seasoning. Our server suggested that we add salt. We did. It was excellent. Loved the fermented feel and hence the natural souring. Rate it 4.5/5. Suggest that those who hv never had the real village chaas, try a sip b4 ordering for everyone
They do not serve any dessert.
Overall rating of food averages out to 4.4/5
Wud love to revisit & try the other dishes.
