Short description – in case u r in a hurry:
We heard about this restaurant from our friend Ankita and decided to pay a visit here. We were browsing the social media onway to the restaurant and read about a particular window seat that someone had liked.

As we walked in, we saw the window seat. It was actually beautiful – seating beside a huge French window with an arch.

The restaurant has few such seats in the ground floor and a bar. Rest of the seating is on the first floor.

The restaurant is located in a very well maintained heritage building with high ceilings, thick walls and huge arched glass and wood Windows. It’s a lovely place to have a great evening.

The gentleman serving us was very good at his job. He was very warm and gave us good guidance in selecting the dishes.

The menu card was a two pager with names of dishes and their description.

Food was great in general. They r serious about serving great food.

Detailed description – in case u hv the time to njoy reading:
For drink we had Garcinia Indica – it had kokum, ginger and coriander with fizz. The drink was quite tangy but the astringent feel of kokum was totally missing. It was a bit too smooth as a drink and hence was on the border of being a bottled drink. Ginger slightly made its presence felt but coriander continued to remain shy thruout the drink. Rate the drink 3/5.

Table Mary – I ordered this as the menu card mentioned that it was made from freshly made tomato juice. The menu card also mentioned that it had ketel one vodka and They claimed it to be the ‘freshest tastiest Bloody Mary in town’. I thought that was a tall claim and we decided to order.

I don’t know whether it’s the best Bloody Mary in town but it was bloody fantastic. The fresh tomato juice made a huge difference – as much as a difference between an Indica and an Innova. The olives were lovely to munch on. The spicing was perfect. The drink was just too good. Rate it 4.75/5

We tried PAN roasted Crab cakes with smokey chipotle mayo and light greens. The crab cakes were as good as the best crab cakes I have had at Boston. The crab meat was pulled patiently, it was lumpy , flaky and retained its taste.

There was minimum packing to make the crab cake stand. The sweetness of crabmeat, freshness of the crab, the juiciness, the awesome flavours and the retention of texture while making the outer layer crisp, all contribute to this dish being rated at 4.95/5

Cast iron Meatballs – these were beef and pork meatballs cooked in cast iron pan. The meatballs were cooked in a Rich tomato gravy with cheese added on top.

The meatballs were excellent – they were lumpy, intense, somewhat juicy and full of meaty flavours. Rate the meatballs 4.5/5

The tomato base was very good, not at all tomatoeee but it had suboptimal salt. Rate the gravy 3.5/5
Overall rating of the dish averages out to 4/5.

We also had Grilled tenderloin – served with 14 hour table farm onions, scallions and crispy bone marrow. The Tenderloin was medium rare, juicy and just perfect. Rate it 4.5/5, the 14 hour cooked onions were lovely. Rate it 4.5/5.

We were floored with the crispy bone marrow – never had it so good in india. Crisp outside, soft and bursts into thick juice inside the mouth. Rate it 4.95/5. Overall rating if this dish averages out to 4.65/5

For dessert we had Chocolate budino – cocoa walnut ice cream, earl grey ice cream. The chocolate was sweet and dark. It was intense, thick and rich. The ice cream was creamy, sweet n salt and very good to taste with the budino. The ice cream had no relation to earl grey but it tasted very good as a combo and complimented the dish. Rate the dish 4.5/5

Overall rating of food and beverages at The Table averages out to 4.3/5
We wud surely revisit.
