Short description – in case u r in a hurry:
We were at ghatkopar and we were hungry. Started looking around and chanced upon this eatery.

There was a queue to begin with and interestingly there were benches outside the restaurant for people to sit and wait.

Inside the restaurant was crowded and noisy – not an ideal place to sit and chat while munching on tidbits but a place to eat yumm food and then go out and chat.
The dining hall was large and it had two parallel aisles. On both side of the aisles were tables of 4 with benches and chairs attached to them.

One end of the dining hall was the foot to the kitchen – thru the glass fitted to the kitchen door, one cud see what’s happening inside.
Service was super efficient, fast and good. The servers cud explain the different dishes properly.
Menu card was long and had a separate jain vegetarian section. There were no descriptions to the items on the menu. There were quite a few dishes beyond the usual veggie offerings.

Portions were big – so we cud not taste too many options.
Food was good in general and everything was way above the basic standard.
Detailed description – in case u have the time to njoy reading:
Chaas – it was nice basic buttermilk without addition of any spices. Nice & refreshing. Not too sour but sour, with a tinge of salt. This was served in a bottle with ‘kutchi beer’ written I it:) . Rate it 4/5

We started our dinner with paneer tikka. It was excellent. Super soft, excellent paneer that retained flavours of paneer and had flavours of spices incorporated as well. Awesome to taste. Charred ends made it even more enjoyable. Rate it 4.5/5

We tried Bhindi fry. It was Dry fried bhindi with a thick coating of dry masalas. Tasted good, in the right direction and the texture was enjoyable as well. Wud have rated it 425/5. However it was Slightly over salted and that reduced the fun of munching. Rate it 3.75/5.

We ordered Double tadka dal – as the name suggests, the dal fried twice with different tadkas. One with whole jeera and green chillies the other with finely sliced onions. The interesting thing about the onion tadka was that amount of onions seemed to be equal to that of dal. Pretty interesting to taste and excellent flavour of good ghee and of the dal. Rate it 4/5

Shikampuri special roti was what we had for breads. It was Soft rotis dipped in ghee. Rate it 4.25/5

Overall rating of food at shvatra averages out to 4.1/5
Wud look forward to revisiting and trying out newer items.
