Short description – in case u r in a hurry:

The restaurant has no facade to the road. There is a big signboard that leads one to a gali ( lane). The lane ends at a ‘lobby’ if I might call it that, with an adjoining dining hall and an open dining area.

A lady was sitting at the counter and charging base money from all customers. With that the customer wud b able to eat the basic thali in unlimited quantity. For any special dish the server was giving a hand written bill that the customer had to go back to the counter and pay.

The menu was fixed and there were some additional extra items separately chargeable.

The serving boys were constantly coming and asking for refills. They seemed to b under pressure due to so much crowd. A supervisor boy kept doing from table to table checking for customers needs and extra if needed.

Food was good but not the best of its kind.

The food at sasuma (almost same menu) is significantly more tasty than here, though the former is 2.5 times costlier and provides a better seating and experience overall

Detailed description – in case u r having the time to njoy reading:

Veg Kolhapuri was small cubes of veggies in a thick gravy. It was very good to taste. The crunch if done veggies were still intact. Loved that bit. Rate it 4.25

Aloo curry was very good though it was a tad low on salt. It had a sweetish tinge. The masalas were strong and do was the hotness. Rate it 4/5

Chana curry was very good as well. The gravy was thick and went very well with the perfect texture of chana. Rate it 4/5

Daal was Also sweetish , hot and good to taste. The dish was spicy but spices were not on the face. Rate it 4/5

Chaas was excellent. It was sour, had a bit of salt, was spiced up a bit and was real. Rate it 4.5/5

In Additional items we bought Laddoo. The laddoo was huge, lumpy, grainy, had perfect amount of sweetness in it. Loved it and rate it 4.5/5

Gulab jamun was made Inhouse too. It . was very good. There was a tinge of salt in it that balanced the sweetness. Loved it and rate it 4.25/5
