Short Description – in case u r in a hurry:
We came to know about this place from our taxi owner friend Cheluva raju. II said we want to eat at a popular local eatery & this is where he got us.
For the uninitiated, Srirangapattana is a town near to Mysore. It has, among other things a summer palace of Tipu sultan, whose wall paintings are unforgettable.

The restaurant has two sections – a bachelors section where I saw most guys having alchohol & lunch. The family section was a 5 table room.
Service was good.
Cut Newspaper was kept on the table as tissue paper.
Food was very good.
Detailed Description – in case u hv the time to njoy reading:
Mutton meatball curry was outstanding. The meatballs were made from hand minced mutton and that made a difference. They were lumpy, YUMM and retained the taste and flavor of meat. The meatballs were soft and juicy as well. The gravy was hot and spicy but it very well blended the flavours of spices and meat. Rate this 4.5/5

Ragi ball was the cereal with which we had the meat. Loved it. Word of caution – for those who have not grown up eating this, first few times u might hate it. It grows on u or u just hate it forever.

Mutton chaap had mammoth pieces of mutton cooked without marination. The meat was super soft and good to eat. It had loads of fat in it as well. However since the pieces were big, salt did non enter the center of meat.

So a bite of the meat with gravy was very good but just on its own it tasted less salt. Rate this 4/5 for the salt. Wud hv rated it 4.5/5 had this problem not been there.

They serve country chicken but on that day there was no country chicken. So we settled for poultry chicken curry. That turned out to be very good. They had cooked the chicken with skin & that made the texture juicy & soft. Rate it 4.25/5

Chicken biryani had great rice but the chicken pieces were besides the point. The flavours of meat had permeated the rice. The rice was super soft And YUMM.

Chicken pieces were ok. Rate the rice 4.75/5 and the chicken 2.5/5. Overall rating of this dish averages out to 3.6/5

Salan with biryani was fingerlicking good. We polished off the whole salan. Rate it 4.95/5
Paya soup was just too good. It was oozing with flavours and just too good to taste. Rate it 4.75/5
They do not serve desserts. So settled for a mirinda in the panwallah shopJ
Overall rating of food here averages out to 4.3/5
Wud surely revisit to try other dishes next time & reorder some of the above.
