Short description- in case u r in a hurry:
I had heard about blue tokai coffee few years bk in a random conversation with a gentleman I met at a kitchen appliances shop. The unique name of the brand made me remember it. Those days they used to sell ground coffee beans online.
This time when we were in delhi and wanted to go to a good unusual breakfast place, we looked up zomato. Blue tokai came up as a breakfast option and time mentioned was 9 am to night.
We reached Sai dul ajab and looked into the map in zomato – we reached someone’s house!!!! We asked around the address ‘khasra ABC’. We were told that all houses belonged to that classification!! We started asking random people and wandered. We called the restaurant- no one picked the call. Finally a Good Samaritan showed us the way. We were pleasantly surprised to find that they hv parking space.

Once near the cafe we saw a signboard on a electric pole – the board was parallel to the road and hence not easy to spot.

The entrance was beautiful.

Once we sat we asked for food menu and were told ‘chef comes at 10’. Really!! Zomato says breakfast from 9. We drove 15 km for liquid breakfast !!!!

With no choice we fed ourselves with cookies and brownies till 10!!!

The restaurant has a see thru office near the entrance and a see thru coffee bean processing area.

The dining hall is a narrow strip with 1 row of tables. Overall the interiors are very cool.
They also have outside seating.
Food was good in general but coffee was outstanding – much more art in the cup , brewed passionately, at lesser bucks than at Starbucks.

We started with Smoked Chicken and basil quiche. The base was very good, the filling was great. Overall it was excellent. Rate it 4.5/5

Choco cake was good but not great. It Wud hv tasted better with an iota of salt. Personally I Wud hv liked it more dark. Rate it 3/5.

Nutella sugar cookie was very nice. It looked like the sketch of Saturn in school books 2 decades bk. the cookie was crisp and the filling was very enjoyable. Rate it 4.25/5

Chilly cinnamon mocha was a lovely mocha with cinnamon making its presence felt while sipping and chilly making its presence felt as an aftertaste. Loved it and rate it 4.5/5

Sea salt mocha was also a lovely mocha but with less salty taste than we thought it Wud hv. Enjoyed it a lot. Rate it 4.5/5

Cortado coffee ( double shot espresso with textured milk) was intense, bold and awesome. Rate it 4.5/5.

We then ordered Scrambled egg with garlic, parsley, Parmesan on toast, thyme roasted tomatoes and grilled chicken sausage. The scrambled egg had good subtle taste and flavour of herb. It was however dry. Moist Wud hv made its taste way better. Rate the scrambled eggs 2/5.

Chicken sausage was better than the usual tasteless sausages found in super markets. Rate the sausage 4/5.

Meatball toast – glazed pork meatballs, pickled apples, wholegrain bread mustard & parsley butter. This was interesting- the glazed pork meatballs were intense in terms of meat flavour and taste but glazing reduced the meatiness. It also was sweetish. I think it was a bit low on salt. Bread with the accompaniment was very enjoyable. RAte it 4.25/5

Coffee tonic – espresso and tonic. It was tangy, had the bitterness of espresso, was thin in consistency and just lovely to sip on. Super loved this drink. Word of caution – u might hate it if u r not a coffee experimenter. Rate it 4.75/5
