Short description – in case u r in a hurry:

We saw this restaurant several times on our way out from hotel deluxe. So decided to pay a visit

The entrance had a bunch of bananas, a display of thalis that they serve and a ‘today’s special ‘ menu that was written on a blackboard with chalk.

The ground floor was a non A/C section. 1st floor had a family A/C section and a general A/C section. The ceiling in the floor was very low – few inches beyond 6 ft.

Furniture was basic. There were tables of 4 and of 6.

The boy serving us was excellent. He helped us make good decisions on the menu and stopped us from over ordering. He took a lot of care – as if we are guests at his home.

Detailed description- in case u hv the time to njoy reading:

Fish nadan was excellent- tangy and hot intense curry with very good fish pieces that were flaky and awesome to taste. Rate it 4.5/5

Karimeen pollichatu (karimeen fish marinated in thick masala paste, steamed in a banana leaf) was very good.

The size of the fish was smaller than what we had at hotel deluxe. The fish itself was flaky, juicy and good but far from the best I have ever had. The marinade was YUMM to taste. Spicy and somewhat hot. Rate it 3.5/5.

Duck roast was very good. The gravy was finger licking good. Loved it.
The duck meat was ‘bone’y as usual and was cut into small pieces. The meat was chewy and enjoyable. Rate it 4.25/5

Beef fry was dry and had no masala on the face. It was chewy and soft. Flavours of curry leaves were enjoyable. Rate it 4.5/5
