Amar khamar lunch room (Hindustan road, ballygunj, kolkata)

Some long lost recipes, some forgotten ingredients, a whole lot of ingredients sourced directly from farmers & a fabulous kitchen that left us smiling ear to ear ….. with joy, lovely interiors & staff was very warm, well trained, having good product knowledge & also always attentive.

An unmissable experience for tourists & residents alike. It’s not a restaurant – it’s an experience center. Walking in the lanes of Zakir nagar was not just about eating food but experiencing the hustle bustle, the aroma of different kinds of food, the patiently waiting guests at every eatery (we experienced no push/ shove, no aggression), the crazy traffic where one reaches a destination faster by walking than in e rickshaws or cars.
