Golconda Bowl : Hyderabadi Food (Hauz Khas Village):

In a nutshell:

Very courteous & caring staff, good ambience, my favorite music Qawwalis playin in the background, but very average food that I wud not order twice even at a food court.

Address & other details: Golconda Bowl

Cuisine Type: Predominantly Nonvegetarian , Vegetarian options also available

Meal for 2: Rs. 700 onwards

Short Description – In case u r in a hurry:

Everything other than the food was good. The Gosht Shorba was refreshing (after adding salt), the Patthar ka Gosht was more sour than what u wud like ur lassi to be / lemonade to be – no balancing of tastes & flavors, Kacchey Gosht ka Biryani was very average (U will like it only if u have not had the real one at Hyderabad), the Saalan served with it was good though. Khumani ka Meetha was good but not excellent. Overall, very average……………… not worth a second visit.

Kaustubh : South Indian Vegetarian Restaurant (behind Select City Walk, Saket)

In a nutshell:

Its like you walk into a party & get attracted to someone…… till he/she opens his/her mouth

Address & other details: Kaustubh

Cuisine Type: Vegetarian

Meal for 2 – Rs. 400 for snacks & Rs. 800 for lunch

Short description – in case u r in a hurry:

Nice ambience & interiors, very well trained & courteous serving staff, beautiful menu card with lots of attractive pics & info on south Indian cuisine etc. What is good ends here. Food is mostly average tending towards bad. It’s a pity that someone has put in a lot of money & effort – but alas! Trying to vend an average product!!!!!

We asked for Medu Vada & Adai. Medu Vada had almost perfect texture but flat taste, aroma & feel. Adai had no character to itself & was short on even basics like salt!!!!! Watermelon juice was the only saving grace ’coz it was natural. Overall very disappointing – Will never visit again.

West View Grill, ITC Maurya Sheraton, New Delhi

In a nutshell:

Interactive, live grill, mouthwatering array of options – utopia for meat & seafood lovers

Address & other details: West View Grill

Short description – In case u r in a hurry:

If u book a seat in advance, u can get to sit besides the glass wall & see half of Delhi from atop. Great ambience, interiors – overall an excellent place for a romantic dinner (provided ur partner is not a vegetarian).

The concept of dinner is unique – This is the first such experience that I had in India. You get to choose what u want to have & the Chef will grill it to ur taste after a short chat with u.
