Short description – in case u r in a hurry:
We heard about this restaurant as soon as we landed in mumbai from our foodie friend Raghu.

We reached the restaurant for breakfast on a holiday morning at 9 am. The restaurant had an old Irani cafe look – huge mirrors on the wall, high ceiling, old marble top teak tables etc

The restaurant looked full from outside. The numerous waiting staff who were carrying plates etc and moving table to table welcomed with a smile. We finally got a table.

Got to know that they have an air conditioned family dining room upstairs

The server boy came to take order without menu card. He said they had mutton toast, mutton keema, bhaji gosht, keema with egg, fried egg, omelet and Bhurji.

Service was fast, efficient. The guy answered all my questions satisfactorily. A good behaviour from me ensured a reciprocation.
It was amazing to see people from all walks of life, different religions, regions, countries fine together at this cafe early in the morning.
Good was very good. Price was unbelievable for someone who has just migrated to mumbai from delhi NCR.
Detailed description – in case u hv the time to njoy reading:
We ordered all the meat items. The guy came back in a while and said ‘mutton roast is already sold out’.

Bhaji gosht was small pieces of mutton slow cooked with spices. The gravy was creamy and had a light color. It lacked a bit in salt (which was surprising considering hundreds of people dine here everyday). A pinch of salt revived the gravy and made it very enjoyable. Rate the gravy 3.5/5. Had the salt being perfect it Wud have been 4.25/5.

The meat pieces were outstanding. Super soft, melt in the mouth, YUMM. Rate the meat pieces 4.5/5.
Rating of the dish averages out to 4/5.

Keema seemed to be hand pounded. It was uneven and had relatively much bigger chunks than the machine minced tasteless meats sold in supermarkets these days. Fat of the meat flavoured the curry. Loved this fish a lot and rate it 4.25/5.

Bhurji again they forgot to put salt. In addition of salt, the Bhurji regained life. It had elements of hotness due to chilly and it was quite dry but enjoyable. Rate the Bhurji 3/5. Wud hv rated it 4/5 without the salt problem.

For dessert we ordered Caramel custard. The custard was firm and not very sweet. It was slightly charred on the edges but not much. The liquid accompanying the custard was nice flavoured. Rate this 4.25/5

To finish off the breakfast we ordered Tea. It had a nice masala flavour, was thick and strong at the same time. Very good to taste. Not too sweet. The server boy said ‘it has sulemani’. Rate the tea 4.5/5.

We also overheard that they serve Special tea. We asked and came to know that this was tea with more milk and more tea but no external flavour. We tried it and loved it too. Rate it 4.5/5.

Delhi does not have a tea culture ( hard to get great chai everywhere) and it was such a great feeling to have had this chai at Olympia.

Overall rating of breakfast at Olympia averages out to 4.1/5

Needless to say we Wud revisit. Pls feel free to write about ur experience.
