Short description – In case u r in a hurry:

As we reached in front of the shop we realized there was no signage outside. Well I guess they hv become signage agnostic. They don’t need it any more. People just know them.

There was a huge crowd at the shop and it took us few minutes to figure that there was no particular queue / system to ensure that the person who reaches first gets her ice cream first.

However, pandemonium was much lesser than expected and we got our stuff pretty soon.

There were 3 people in the counter, two of whom looked like the owners / their immediate family members. They would take orders, take the cash , fetch the ice cream and give it back to the right person.

The interiors were pretty old and not painted.

70% of the shop was the counter and in test 30% the customers stood / satin plastic chairs.

Menu card was hand written and hung in different parts of the shop. There was one long painted menu card on the wall too.

Ice creams were enjoyable in general. All ice cream bars r served in between two wafers.

Detailed description – in case u hv the time to njoy reading:

We ordered ‘fresh strawberry’ ice cream with great hope but it turned out to be a normal , good strawberry ice cream with no visual traces of pulp. We cud however feel the pulp due to the slight daanedaar texture of the ice cream. Rate it 3/5

We tried carrot ice cream. It turned out to be ‘gajar Ka halwa’ in an ice cream. Must say it was very different than anything of its kind we hv had so far. The taste and flavour of carrot made its presence felt and of course the base ice cream was very nice. Rate it 4/5

The third ice cream we tried was rum and raisin awesome. 4.5/5

4 th ice cream that we tried was chocolate & coffee based. Loved that as well . Creamy & flavorful. Rate it 4.25/5

We also tried  fresh king mango. Outstanding. Best mango ice cream (at that price) I have Had in years – it conveyed as much about the fruit (in terms of taste, flavor) as if we were having the fruit. 4.75/5

Overall rating of food at K rustoms averages out to 4.1/5

Wud keep revisiting & trying new flavors.
